An ageing monarch divides his kingdom into three and promises the largest share to the daughter who professes to love him most. But he has misjudged their loyalty and, cast out by those he trusted, is about to be forced to confront his own humanity....

For 2023/24 the Children's Shakespeare Festivals will explore one of Shakespeare's greatest tragedies - King Lear - revisiting our acclaimed scheme of work, with brand new material for this year. 

The project follows our tried-and-tested model of high quality CPD in drama, compelling classroom activity and performance by your pupils in professional theatre spaces. Find more information on how the project works here
