On a distant island, Prospero is waiting. Robbed of his position and power, he has simply been biding his time. For Prospero is no ordinary person, and this is no ordinary island. When fate brings those who betrayed him within his reach, he conjures a storm that leaves his enemies shipwrecked and washed up on his shores.
But no man is an island, and his thirst for revenge is about to teach him what it really means to be human…
For 2024/25, the Children's Shakespeare Festivals will return to Prospero's island in "O Brave New World", as we explore one of Shakespeare's final plays, a poignant tale about the power of forgiveness - The Tempest.
The project follows our tried-and-tested model of high quality CPD in drama, compelling classroom activity and performance by your pupils in professional theatre spaces. Find more information on how the project works here.
