An intense Drama residential

for primary teachers

A residential is a wonderful way of allowing your mind to focus - to step away.

Drama is a tremendous way to develop learning and commitment,

the Conway Centre is a fantastic place for finding some peace of mind for reflection; brought together, we have a chance to create a highly memorable experience which will develop your confidence, understanding and skills in Drama.

The NWDS team, led by John Doona, have extensive experience of creating enjoyable and meaningful residential experiences; experience which extends to teachers, students and children over some 15 years.

During the residential teachers will be invited to take part in a programme of Drama workshops which will give them a real insight into developing their own approaches, planning, preparing and delivering.

A range of resources will be available and staff will go away with their own concrete plans for immediate implementation., and approaches they can pass on in school; you might well become your school’s in-house Drama expert!

The residential will take place at the Conway Centre, Anglesey over a 23 hour period. It will begin after school on the first day and continue until around 3 o’clock on the second: Your school gives you one full day.... And you give us the night! It is a format we have been using for several years and has proved very favourable and enjoyable. Much more so that a single day’s INSET.
