Shakespeare, Drama and Poetry:
Literacy and Deep Learning
In this unique and exciting pair of events we will take teachers through a dynamic and highly practical exploration of Shakespeare’s The Tempest. through Drama.
The course will explore the character, the narrative and the language of the text and use our absorption in the world of the play to launch the vibrant creation of original poetry.
Teachers will be able to take the approaches and techniques experienced directly to their classrooms.
Shakespeare is an extra-ordinary resource.
Drama is an extra-ordinary tool for accessing text and fostering deep learning.
Poetry will be our extra-ordinary outcome.
Access. Exploration. Expression.
The events take place at two venues in late September 2012.
The cost will be £165 per delegate.
